본 연구의 목적은 한국장애인고용공단 고용개발원에서 2008년도에 개발한 ‘Employment Development Institute 행복한 동행 프로그램’(이하 EDI 행동프로그램)을 활용한 장애인 고용인식개선 프로그램이 장애인 고용인식개선에 미치는 효과를 기존의 장애에티켓교육과 비교하여 규명하는 것이다. 이를 위해 장애인인식개선과 관련된 문헌 및 선행연구들을 바탕으로, EDI 행동프로그램 교육실시 전‧후에 참여자들을 대상으로 장애인 고용에 관한 인식척도를 측정하여 장애인 고용 인식에 대한 프로그램의 효과를 측정하였다. 연구 결과 장애인 고용에 따른 작업수행에 대한 우려, 장애인 고용관리비용 증가, 다른 사람들의 반응에서 프로그램 참가 전‧후 매우 유의미하게 장애인에 대한 인식이 긍정적으로 변화했다. 그러나 장애의 이해교육과 장애에티켓 교육은 장애인 고용에 있어 전적으로 인식을 긍정적으로 변화시키고 있지는 않았다. 이와 같은 비교 검증을 통해 장애인식개선교육의 효과를 실증적으로 검증한 연구라는 점에 의의가 있다고 판단된다.
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effects of disability awareness program using 'EDI Action program' by comparing with existing disability etiquette program. Based on a literature review of disability awareness, the effects of program were measured by a scaling method of awareness for employment of people with disability. To measure program impacts on program participants, pre- and post-test methods were used. Research findings indicated that there is a significant increase in disability awareness after the program. Participants' awareness and understanding have improved positively in terms of perception, capability, and management expenses in employment of people with disability. Whereas, existing disability etiquette programs turned out to be less effective in improving participants' awareness positively in regard to the employment of people with disability. Thus, this study has a significance in analyzing program impacts empirically.
