본 연구는 고용주의 장애인고용경험이 장애인고용인식과 채용의사에 미치는 영향을 분석하고 장애인고용인식의 매개효과를 검증하는데 목적을 두었다. 분석대상은 한국장애인고용촉진공단이 2008년도에 실시한 사업체 장애인고용 실태조사의 심층조사에 참여한 사업체 2,510개소이다. 분석결과 고용경험은 고용주의 채용의사와 장애인고용인식에 유의미한 영향을 미치며 장애인고용인식은 고용경험과 채용의사 관계를 부분적으로 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과는 장애인 고용경험 유무에 따른 정책대상별 차별화된 형태의 정책적 접근의 필요성과 장애인고용인식의 개선의 중요성을 시사하고 있다.
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the influence of experience regarding hiring of the disabled as it pertains to the intentions and perceptions of employing the disabled and verify mediating effect of perceptions of employing the disabled. 2,510 companies participated in the in-depth research which entailed a survey on the employment status of the disabled in business in 2008. According to the research, companies hiring workers with disabilities present a positive attitude toward employing the disabled. Moreover, experience of hiring the disabled acts as a meaningful variable which improves employers' intentions and perceptions regarding employment of the disabled. The result of the study implies that it is necessary to use a political approach which considers various political objectives according to experience, regarding hiring of the disabled. For companies not having experience regarding hiring of the disabled, disability awareness training is needed. On the other hand, for experienced companies, a strong demand to raise employer satisfaction and draw a plan of support for more employment is apparent.
