무용 전공 여고생과 비전공 여고생 간의 섭식장애, 월경장애 및 영양상태 비교

이 연구는 고등학교 발레, 현대무용, 한국무용전공 학생들의 섭식 양상을 조사하여 이들의 섭식 장애 여부와 영양분석을 시도하고, 이에 따른 월경 및 초경에의 영향을 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 실시되었다. 기존에 타당성이 검증된 설문지를 사용하였고, 영양분석은 관련 전문 프로그램을 통해서 이루어졌다. 비교 대상이 된 비전공 여학생들에 비해서 섭식장애 경향을 보이는 무용전공자들이 많았고, 이 현상은 무용 종목에 따라 약간의 차이를 나타냈다. 더욱이 무용 연습을 통해서 소모하는 열량에 비해서 매우 부족한 수준의 열량섭취가 이루어지고 있었으며, 이는 초경의 지연, 월경 상태의 이상 등으로 나타났다. 영양소별로는 칼슘과 철분의 섭취가 크게 부족했다. 이상의 결과에서 보면 무용전공자들에 대한 보다 철저한 식이관리와 연구가 필요하며, 지도자들의 엄격한 관리를 통하여 적절한 몸매관리 및 영양관리가 이루어져야 할 필요성이 크다고 여겨진다.
Abstract
This study was performed to illuminate the facts of eating disorders in dance major high-school girls. The questionnaires were used to evaluate subjects' eating pattern and menstruation cycle status. Nutritional evaluation was done by using the 24hr recall and the computer aided nutrition analysis. Ballet, modern-dance, Korean traditional dance majors showed some evidences of eating disorder phenomenons. Their menstruation status also was not considered as abnormal compared to the control subjects. The major reasons of these surveyed results were in their very strict body image of lean, very low amount of calcium and iron uptake, and of absolutely insufficient calorie uptake than their consumption through hard exercise. They need more strict management of diet and weight with well-balanced food consumption conducted by related experts.
