동북공정 종료 후 중국의 고구려사 연구동향과 전망

Abstract

Analysis of the research outcomes in China from 2007 to 2015 shows that as they basically follow the perception of the Northeast Project, they are moving forward with complementary and deepening research. It is also confirmed that they have established a research system. Study of Koguryo in China after the end of the Northeast Project continues to increase quantitatively and to improve qualitatively. While some arguments lacking logicality have disappeared, other research topics which require complementary measures are being joined by leading scholars who strategically take a position to carry out research and train junior scholars. Henceforth, future research strategy will be presented by the Institute of China’s Borderland History and Geography Studies and the Jilin Social Science Institute, and then a university and a research institute will deepen and develop further research. Koguryo research in China will strengthen the logical reinforcement of the arguments produced by the Northeast Project and intensify the criticism of the research results of Korean scholarship. The Project will further endeavor to promote Chinese historical perspectives to third party countries, and educate the nationalistic history perception to Chinese. Finally, the Project will concentrate on developing logic to connect the historical contexts of Koguryo and Balhae, Koguryo and Buyeo, and Koguryo and Old Choson within Chinese history.
