· 연구 주제: 노인의 권위주의 성향이 우울에 미치는 경로에서 사회적 관계의 매개효과를 확인하고, 자기방임의 조절된 매개효과를 검증하는데 목적이 있다. · 연구 배경: 공적인 사회영역과 사적인 가정영역에서 나타난 한국 사회의 권위 및 돌봄의 동반위기는 노인의 정신건강을 악화시키는 기저를 형성하고 있다. · 선행연구와의 차이점: 기존연구들은 노인의 우울을 심리적인 개인차원에서 다루어 왔으나 본 연구는 한국사회의 구조적 위기로부터 노인 개인의 수준으로 투영되는 과정을 통합적으로 고려하였다. · 연구방법: SPSS PROCESS macro의 model 4와 14를 적용하여 조절된 매개효과를 검증하였다. · 연구결과: 첫째, 사회적 관계망은 노인의 권위주의 성향과 우울의 관계에서 완전 매개효과를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 노인의 권위주의 성향과 사회적 관계망, 우울의 매개모형에서 자기방임은 사회적 관계망과 우울의 관계에서 조절효과를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. · 공헌점 및 기대효과: 노인의 우울을 감소하기 위해 노인의 권위주의 성향을 개선하고, 사회적 관계망의 확대, 자기방임의 감소 및 예방을 위한 사회구조적 대안과 실천적 방안의 필요성을 제언하였다.
Abstract
· Research topics: The purpose of this study is to examine the mediation effect of social network and the moderated-mediation effect of self-neglect in the relationship between authoritarian tendency and depression in the elderly. · Research background: The crisis of authority and care in Korean society, which appeared in the social area and in the private family area, forms the structure for worsening the mental health of the elderly. · Differences from prior research: Prior studies dealt with depression in the elderly at the psychological and individual level, but this study comprehensively considered the process of projecting from the structural crisis of Korean society to the level of the individual elderly. · Research method: We verified the moderated-mediation effects with SPSS macro Process model 4 and 14. · Research results: First, the social network was found to have a full mediation effect on the relationship between the authoritarian tendency and depression of the elderly. Second, in the mediation model of the elderly's authoritarian tendencies, social network, and depression, self-neglect was found to have a moderating effect on the relationship between social network and depression. · Contribution points and expected effects: The importance of improving the authoritarian tendencies and expanding social networks of the elderly was suggested. It also suggested the needs for social structural alternatives and practical ways to reduce and prevent self-neglect in order to decrease depression in the elderly.
