Abstract

This study is to explore an integrated approach of evidence based program activities in Korea, which is used as analytic framework for the accreditation of EBP programs recently initialized by Korean government in the area of the social work. For this purpose, the researchers criticised the current concepts of the evidence based practice(EBP) and evidence based programs(EBPs) in that it is not appropriate for the explanation of the EBPA in the social work programs. The researchers constructed a concept and its related key features for diverse and complicated evidence based activities appeared at the sequential development faces of the social work programs. On the basis of the new concepts, they analyzed the tendencies of the evidence based activities in the related literatures covering program evaluation, development, dissemination, and innovation etc. As the result, they found the three noticeable tendencies emerged as follows: an “evaluation focused evidence development activities”, development focused evidence development activities, and accreditation focused evidence dissemination activities. Furthermore, they examined the situations of the evidence activities in Korea. They suggested an integrated approach and tasks of the evidence activities in the social work program in Korea.
