Abstract
Objectives: The study aimed to examine the structural relationship between interpersonal skills and daily life satisfaction among employed individuals with disabilities. Method: The analysis focused on 1,969 employed individuals with disabilities who participated in the 8th wave of the second phase of the Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled. The study investigated the multiple mediating effects of job skills and self-efficacy. Results: First, interpersonal skills among employed individuals with disabilities had a positive effect on both job skills and self-efficacy. Second, their job skills and self-efficacy positively influenced their daily life satisfaction. Third, the mediating effects of job skills and self-efficacy were significant in the relationship between interpersonal skills and daily life satisfaction. Fourth, the dual mediating effect of job skills and self-efficacy was also significant in this relationship. Fifth, job skills and self-efficacy fully mediated the pathway from interpersonal skills to daily life satisfaction. Implications: This study is significant in that it integrates and analyzes the relationships among interpersonal skills, job skills, self-efficacy, and daily life satisfaction of employed individuals with disabilities using a structural equation model. It highlights both full mediation and dual mediation effects, which were only partially addressed in previous studies.
