사회적 지지, 사회적 인식이 장애노인의 자기효능감에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 장애노인의 자기효능감 향상을 통해 장애노인의 만족스러운 삶을 영위할 수 있도록 사회적 지지, 사회적 인식이 자기효능감에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 실증적으로 분석하여 정책적 함의를 밝히는 데 목적이 있다. 연구대상자는 전라남도에 거주하는 65세 이상 등록 재가 장애노인 중 430명을 편의모집(purposive sampling)하여 조사하였고 연구결과는 SPSS 통계패키지를 이용하여 빈도분석, 기술통계분석, t-test, ANOVA, 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 장애노인들은 매우 열악한 경제 상태에서 생활하고 있으며 지역사회 속에서 차별경험이 심각한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 장애노인의 사회적 지지, 사회적 인식, 자기효능감 간에는 유의미한 양의 상관관계를 보였으며 위계적 회귀분석을 실시한 결과 사회적 지지를 받을수록, 사회적 인식이 좋을수록, 남성 장애노인일수록, 학력이 높을수록, 월 총수입이 많을수록 자기효능감이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 토대로 다음과 같이 장애노인에 대한 복지적 함의를 제시하고자 한다. 첫째, 장애노인 중 열악한 계층 즉, 빈곤하면서 건강하지 못한 장애노인과 그들을 부양하고 있는 가족을 위한 정책과 서비스의 제공방안을 마련하여야 한다. 둘째, 장애노인에 대한 사회적 인식을 개선하기 위한 노력으로 실태조사, 각종 기관 및 단체를 통한 지속적인 교육활동, 매스미디어를 통한 홍보를 통하여 장애노인에 대한 편견 없는 사회적 분위기를 확산해나가는 노력을 기울여야 한다.
Abstract
This study has the purpose to reveal political implications by analyzing in a actual proof way how social support and social recognition have an effect on the self-efficacy, whose purpose is to give the elderly with disability satisfactory life through the elevation of their self-efficacy. This study took purposive sampling and survey of 430 among the elderly with disability more than 65 years old in Jeollanam-do and executed frequency analysis, technolog y statistical analysis, t-test, ANOVA, hierarchical (multiple)regression through SPSS statistical package. Main results are as follows. The male elderly with disability live in very poor economic situation and experience serious discrimination in the community. In addition, social support, social recognition, self-efficacy of the elderly with disability showed the meaningful correlation and, as the result of hierarchical (multiple)regression, it appeared that the elderly with disability who has more social support, better social recognition, higher school career, higher monthly income and the male elderly with disability have higher self-efficacy. I would like to suggest the following welfares on the basis of study results. First, the policy and service offering way for the poor level of the elderly with disability, such as poor and unhealthy the elderly with disability, and their family to support them, should be prepared. Second, through the actual survey to improve social recognition of the elderly with disability and through continuous teaching activity and public information through mass media by means of all organs and groups, there need the synthetic and systematic intervention in the framework that unbiased social atmosphere of the elderly with disability can be deliquesced organically.
