지형조건과 암질환 발생의 상관관계에 관한 연구 -풍수이론을 중심으로-

Abstract

This research aims to examine the effects that topography conditions have on the occurrence of cancer diseases. The range and method of the research were based on collecting the number of cancer patient data from the National Health Insurance Service data of 16 metropolitan cities and 252 city provinces, and through on-site investigation and satellite map imagery examining what correlation each region’s topography conditions had with the cancer patients. The Pungsu Theory was especially referenced to compare regions with a high number versus a low number of cancer patients, and the effects of the surrounding mountains’ shapes and the wind were carefully scrutinized in the research. Therefore it can be seen that in regions where mountains are rugged and valleys are abundant, there is a high probability of cancer patient occurrence. On the other hand, regions that had few cancer patients were regions that mainly had low hills and also low regions with flat plains. There was no concern for mountain and valley winds, and even when there was wind, it was not harmful to humans because it was dispersed.
