2018년 노동신문 사설과 한반도의 정치적·사회적 사건간의 연관성 분석 -텍스트마이닝 분석을 중심으로-

본 연구는 2018년 남북관계에 획기적인 진전을 가져왔던 한반도 정치적·사회적 사건이 북한 내부에 미친 영향을 노동신문 사설을 통해 분석했다. 연구자의 주관적 해석을 배제할 수 있는 텍스트 마이닝 기법을 사용하여 감성분석, 토픽분석, 빈도분석을 했다. 감성분석은 시간이 지나감에 따라 사설에 드러난 감성이 급격히 변화했음을 보여줬다. 대결국면에서 대화국면으로 전환됨에 따라 도발 관련된 부정적인 단어보다 대화 관련 긍정적인 단어가 자주 등장했다. 그러나 토픽분석은 감성분석 결과와는 달리 뚜렷한 변화를 보여주지 못했다. 정치적 환경 변화가 북한이 병진노선을 포기할 만큼 진전됐지 않았음을 시사한다. 빈도분석은 우상화와 체제 관련 단어를 통제하였을 경우 식량 확보를 위한 농업 생산성 향상이 사설의 주요 내용이었음을 보여주었다.
Abstract
This paper explores the potential relationship between changes in the Rodong Simmun editorial and political and social events of the Korean Peninsula of the year 2018 by using text mining. The analysis focuses on changes in the sentiment, topics and term frequency of the editorial. The sentiment analysis shows a significant sentiment change over the time and the change in the sentiment is consistent with the political mood brought by the series of Korean Peninsula Peace Process during the year 2018. The topic analysis, however, reports little change of the topics discussed in the editorial over the year, implying that there were no significant changes in the previous policy simultaneously pushing forward the economic construction and the building of nuclear force. When the terms related to the cult of personality and advocacy of socialism is controlled, the frequency analysis discovers that most of the editorial content boils down to growth and harvest of the crop and the content varies with the seasonal and annual cycle of the activities. The emphasis of the editorial on the crop production suggests that the problem of food shortages has been aggravated since the strict economic sanctions were introduced by the UN in 2017.
