이 글에서는 람박띠문학의 시대적 배경은 무갈시대를 중심으로, 그 사상적 배경은 화신사상을 중심으로 살펴보고 힌디문학에서 람에 관한 시 전통과 람박띠전통의 시 흐름을 주요 시인들을 중심으로 간략하게 소개하여 람박띠문학에서 뚤시다스의 위치를 밝히고자 한다. 그리고 그의 생애와 작품세계를 살펴본 뒤 람박띠문학의 대표작, 『람짜리뜨마나스』를 토대로 힌디람박띠문학에서 람이 최고의 신으로 나타나는 것이 그 이전의 람에 관한 문학전통과 다르다는 것과 사회규범의 강조를 통해 궁극적으로 람라져라는 이상사회를 제시하고 있다는 것을 밝히고 이러한 두 가지 특성과 함께 나타나는 '사만바야뜨막따'(Samanvayaatmaktaa, 의역하면 조화적 융합성)를 신관, 신인합일의 방식, 형상화의 측면에서의 분석하여 뚤시다스의 인도사회와 문학에서 중요성을 구명하고자 한다.
Abstract
This writing is devoted to the investigation of the stream of poems in the Ram-Bhakti tradition as well as of the tradition of Ram-poem by way of dealing with several chief poets related to that tradition in order to bring to light the place Tulsidas occupies in the Ram-Bhakti literature. In the framework of this writing the temporal background of the Ram-Bhakti literature is of the Mugal- period and it centers around the notion of incarnation(avataras). Furthermore, through the investigation into his life and literary work pieces, e.g. Rāmcaritmānasa among others, the representative work piece of the Ram-Bhakti literature, it will be brought out that it is different from the preceding tradition of Ram-literature that Ram is depicted as the supreme God in the Hindi Ram-Bhakti literature and that the ideal society, namely Ram-Rājya is eventually sought by way of the emphasis on the social-norms. This studies will explicate the importance of Tulsidas in Indian society and Indian literature by way of the analysis of Samanvayaatmaktaa(harmonious unification) in terms of view of God, way of unification of God and man, and formalization.
