Abstract
The Russo-American Realistic China Policy during the KMT-CCP United Fronts Park, Hong-seo The first and second united fronts between the Kuomintang and Communists can be explained by international politics among strong states in general and the United States and the Soviet Union in particular. The first united front was initially propelled by the Soviet's national interest to protect its security by cooperating nationalist forces in China right after the Bolshevik Revolution in 1917. On the other hand, keeping the traditional "Open Door Policy", the United States had sought to improve its relations with KMT as the latter began to consolidate its power position over China. Meanwhile, the second united front appeared as Japan tried to expand its power to China. To contain Japan's expansion, Washing and Moscow altogether tried to take advantage of China as a proxy for them. In this respect, it was natural from the second united front to collapse after the end of the Second War in August 1945.
