손자병법 용병술의 기업 인적자원관리응용 연구

Abstract

This study systematically analyzed ‘the military art’ in ‘the art of war’ and tried to apply it to human resource management of modern enterprise academically. About the ‘role of the monarch(owner of corporate)’, Sunzi stressed two things. First, he leads members to have ‘the same desires’ and ‘the same values’ through the realization of morality. Second, he needs to select a competent general(CEO) and build trust between the monarch(owner of corporate) and the general(CEO) by ‘embracing’, ‘trust’ and ‘delegation of power’. As for ‘the qualification of a general (CEO)’, Sunzi supposed ‘five virtues (wisdom, faith, benevolence, courage and strictness)’ and ‘five dangerous(excessive courage, fear, haste, excessive integrity, excessive love of the people)’ and pointed out that a correct ‘sense of justice’(entrepreneurship) must be displayed. This shows that it is consistent with the virtues of leading company and great CEO of today. As for ‘the management of common soldier’, Sunzi also emphasized that the importance of ‘creating a consensus towards goals(corporate values)’, ‘strengthening the organization (organizing)’, ‘being moderate(meeting the needs of the organization's members)’, ‘reward system(compensation system)’, ‘raising awareness of crisis (organizational change)’, ‘maintaining security(information security)’. It is also consistent with the key points needed for efficient ‘human resource management’ of modern companies. In short, we found that whatever the ancient military or modern enterprise, ‘human’ and ‘organization’ are the core of them, and efficient ‘human resource management’ is the core competence of the organization. It was also found that Sunzi’s ‘the military art’ is valuable enough to be used as a textbook and giving many lessons in the modern company's ‘human management’.
