본 논문은 『孟子』의 王道경영은 相生을 추구하고 信賴를 주장하는 반면에, 『孫子兵法』의 詭道경영은 獨食을 추구하고 不信을 허용한다는 점을 보이는 것을 목표로 한다. 현대 경영전략이론은 예외 없이 전쟁철학에 기초하며, 이에 따라 현대인들의 사고방식에 지대한 영향을 끼치고 있는 경영학 교과서들은 그 사상적 연원을 동서양의 兵書에 두고 있다. 본 연구는 동서양의 병서에 담긴 전쟁철학은 결코 相生과 信賴의 경영을 낳을 수 없음을 보임으로써 현대 경영학을 재정립하고자 하는 첫 번째 작업에 해당한다. 본 논문은 수 천 년 동안 동아시아 지역에서 가정에서부터 천하에 이르기까지 모든 집단의 경영철학을 제공해 온 유학은 21세기에도 여전히 유용한 경영학임을 밝힘과 동시에, 오늘날 점점 목소리를 높여 가고 있는 ‘깨어 있는 자본주의(Conscious Capitalism)’에 철학적 기반을 제공해 줄 것으로 기대된다.
Abstract
This paper aims to show that The Royal Way Management of Mencius pursues live-together and justice whereas The Deceptive Way Management of Sunzibingfa seeks have-to-oneself and deception. Modern theories of business strategy are based on, without a doubt, theories of war. As a result, business textbooks which have a great influence on the mentality of modern people are founded on books on war in East and West. This study is the groundwork to prove that the theory of war cannot be the foundation of business management of live-together and justice. This research will prove that the Confucianism which has been provided the ways of management from family to the whole world for thousands of years in eastern-Asia is still the most useful and ethical management books, and at the same time, will offer the philosophical foundation to the Conscious Capitalism which is raising its voice to make this society a better place.
