중국 철강산업의 파급효과 분석 - 2002년 중국 투입산출표를 기준으로 -

Abstract

As the basic material industry, steel industry plays an important role in national economy. Since the establishment of the new China, the steel industry has achieved great effort in recent 50years. The output of steel was 1580 million tons in the beginning of the establishment of new China. Then the steel industry developed quickly. The output of steel exceeded 100 million tons for the first time in 1996 and ranked the first in the world. Since then, the output of steel in China always ranked the first. The steel industry, being at the center of the economic chain, is significantly related to down- and up-stream industries. Specifically, the requirements from downstream industries directly affect the domestic market requirements of the steel industry. In fact, as the basis of the national industry, to some extent, it is the requirements of various steel-fed industries that made the steel grow so rapidly in recent years. In the new century, accompanied by the promotion of new economic growth, industrialization and urbanization, the upgrade of citizen consumption structure, the industries especially automobile, house construction and machinery industries are growing more and more rapidly. All these industries are downstream industries of the steel industry, and they need vast steel products. In other way, similar to the steel industry, these industries are now faced with drastic international competition. So the success or failure of these industries must affect the steel industry. Therefore, through the summarization of China’s steel industry policies process, evaluating the contribution on the steel industry policies of input and output model formed by Wassily Leontief, through the international comparison of steel industry policies, evaluating the difference of contribution between China’s steel industry policy and South Korea’s steel industry policy, based on the theory analysis of industry policy relationships, verification of experience data and model evaluation, the orientation of Chinese steel industry policy is brought forward. When applying the input and output method, comparison is made between 2002 China input-output table and 2003 South Korea input-output table to seek the contribution to the development of Chinese economy.
