現代日本語の「～しないうちに」の意味分析 – 「～するうちに」との違いを中心に –

Abstract

Contents In this article, I have considered the meaning of -naiuchini with a difference between -uchini and –naiuchini. First of all, in analyzing the meaning of –naiuchini, the type of aktionsart was classified based on the availability of <phasal verbs> and the <Limits> for each type was specifically considered. The review first confirmed that the time limit dictated by -naiuchini is closely related to the type of aktionsart. Next, the difference between -uchini and -naiuchini has a specific duration and is common in limiting the appearance of later events. But in the case of –naiuchini the biggest difference was that the focus on <limit> was made by the semantic characteristics of the negatives. Specific differences between the two types are detailed in Table 1 of the text. This consideration was based on two views: 1) The difference in meaning of the significance of the significance expression is due to <speaker's aspect> to the event, 2) The aktionsart will be involved in all the time expressions. A more precise and systematic analysis of the classifications and types of verbs initially attempted in this paper is to be made into a future task.
