초록
The purpose of this article is to explore the achievements and tasks of the Modi Doctrine from the perspective of the Neighbourhood Fist Policy of India. Since the 1990s, India has shifted its central axis of foreign policy to East Asia, including Southeast Asia, and Modi, who took office in 2014, has embodied the “Act East Policy”(AEP) from the “Look East Policy.” In analyzing the AEP, Myanmar has emerged as the most important country to gauge the success or failure of the policy. This paper focuses on two factors: extend of connectivity and economic cooperation as part of the Neighbourhood Fist policy in the Modi Doctrine. At the same time, it analyzes the reason why its connection with Myanmar has not been successful, and prospects the future of the Modi Doctrine.
