Partiendo el enfoque de capacidades, el presente trabajo desarrolla el concepto de Bienestar Sustentable, el cual resalta la importancia de incorporar la sustentabilidad temporal en el análisis del bienestar, con justicia intergeneracional. Para su medición, se identifican y definen 12 dimensiones, basadas en el enfoque filosófico de Capacidades Centrales de Martha Nussbaum. La medición se aplica a 18 países de Latinoamérica, con 116 indicadores y utilizando un análisis de correspondencias múltiples (ACM). Los resultados muestran la viabilidad de la operacionalización del enfoque de capacidades y su potencial para apoyar la formulación de políticas asociadas.
Abstract
Starting from the capabilities approach, this work develops the concept of Sustainable Wellbeing, which highlights the importance of incorporating temporal sustainability in the analysis of wellbeing, with intergenerational justice. For its measurement, 12 dimensions are identified and defined, based on the philosophical approach of Central Capabilities of Martha Nussbaum. The measurement is applied to 18 Latin American countries, with 116 indicators and using a multiple correspondence analysis (MCA). The results show the viability of operationalizing the capabilities approach and its potential to support the formulation of associated policies.
