초록
The purpose of this study is to consider the diachronic change of Korean tone system. And this study tries to explain the change of a tone system by Optimality Theory. Korean have changed because it reached from the ancient Korean to many dialect of the contemporary Korean. A prosodic system have changed from the situation of a tone language in a non-tone language. But previous studies treated a tone system so that it was so simple, and compared many dialect of the contemporary Korean simply just with the middle Korean. Consequently in this study we try to argue specificly the change course of Korean tone system by Optimality Theory.
