When studying a literary work, there are approaches that examine the form and content of the work itself from absolutist or structuralist perspectives, as well as approaches that view the work through the actions of the author and the historical context from an expressionist or productionist perspective. In particular, in the case of Lu You, who is praised as a 'patriotic poet,' understanding the historical background is essential for grasping the author's intentions, making the latter approach more suitable. The patriotism expressed by Lu You ultimately relates to the restoration of the homeland, the advocacy for war, and the strengthening of military capabilities, all of which are connected to military matters. Then, where can we examine the military theories and thoughts that Lu You possesses? In particular, early in his appointment as a reviser at the Secret Council, he personally authored the 'Zha Zi Wen' in which his military views and military thoughts are well reflected. This paper aims to undertake a translation of the 14 'Zha Zi Wen' authored by Lu You from this perspective.
