제4차 한일회담의 문화재 반환 문제 연구: ‘제1차 반환청구 한국문화재 항목’을 중심으로

초록

This study seeks to find the significance of the discussion of 4th Korea-Japan talks regarding on negotiation of the return of cultural properties in the normalization negotiations. This study also examines the meaning of 'the List of Korean Cultural Property on the 1st Claim for Return’ from Korea. For this purpose, this study has researched the review on the list of cultural property and the fieldwork in japan conducted by Korean side. During 4th Korea-Japan talks, Korea has reviewed the list of existing cultural properties and conducted the fieldwork in Japan. And the list of claiming cultural properties was revised and presented to the Japan. By repeating these procedures, Korea was able to improve the completeness of the list of cultural properties. As such, the review of the existing list of cultural properties and the fieldwork in japan during 4th Korea-Japan talks form the basis of the discussions for the negotiation of the return of cultural property after the 5th Korea Japan talks. In this regard, the discussion on the return of cultural properties during 4th Korea-Japan talks was significant in the survey of cultural property and the preparation of the list of cultural properties on negotiation of the return of cultural properties in the Korea-Japan talks.

Abstract
