초록

본 연구는 가족 사회자본이 단체참여와 정치참여 등 사회참여에 어떤 영향을 미치고 있는지를 살펴보았다. 단체참여와 정치참여에도 다양한 형태가 존재하기 때문에 가족 사회자본이 사회참여에 미치는 영향은 다양한 관계가 있을 수 있다. 즉 사회자본 유형을 강한 연결과 느슨한 연결, 수직적 조직과 수평적 조직, 조직에 대한 신뢰와 개인에 대한 신뢰, 동질적 조직과 이질적 조직 등 발생 특성에 의해 분류할 수 있기 때문에 가족 사회자본의 성격이 어떤가에 따라, 사회참여 역시 참여의 형태에 따라 다양한 관계가 나타날 수 있다. 한편, 이 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 본 연구는 한국과 일본을 비교, 분석하였다. 한국과 일본 각각 3개 도시에 거주하는 주민의 설문을 바탕으로 비교한 결과, 가족 사회자본은 사회참여에 다양한 형태로 영향을 미치고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 한국과 일본의 가족 사회자본과 사회참여 유형의 관계가 공통점도 있었고 차이점도 나타났다. 이 연구는 어떤 가족 사회자본 유형이 어떤 사회참여 유형에 영향을 미치는지를 살펴볼 수 있는 기초 자료가 될 것이다.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of family social capital on group participation and political participation. Since there are several types of group participation and political participation, there are various relationships between family social capital and civil participation. That is, social capital and network can be typed as strong tie and weak tie, hierarchical and horizontal network, group and personal trust, homogeneous and heterogeneous group. We can examine that some of family social capital factors have an influence on some types of group and political participation. 1,985 surveys are used for data in three cities of Korea and Japan respectively. This research finds following results. First, various group and political participation are affected by various factors of family social capital. Second, there are some similarity and disparity between Korea and Japan on the relationship between family social capital and civil participation. From these results, this paper discusses research implications for further research.
