청소년의 적응군집화 및 5요인 성격특성이 집단판별에 기여하는 변인

초록

본 연구는 청소년 학교적응의 지표로 사용될 수 있는 삶의 만족, 진로결정자기효능감, 우울, 학업성적에 따른 군집의 특성을 파악하고, 5요인 성격 특성이 유의하게 군집을 판별해 주는지를 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 서울, 경기 지역 고등학생 총 245명(남자 175명, 여자 70명)을 대상으로 군집분석을 실시한 결과 3개 군집으로 구분되었다. 5요인 성격 특성이 각 군집을 판별하는 상대적 영향력을 알아보기 위하여 판별분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 두 개의 판별함수가 모두 통계적으로 유의미하였으며 특히, 5요인 중 신경증, 개방성, 성실성이 집단을 판별하는데 가장 좋은 판별 변인이었다. 전체적으로 적중률(hit ratio)은 56.1%이었고, 특히 군집3에 대한 적중률은 64.7%이었다. 마지막으로 청소년의 학교 적응을 예측하고 판별하는 도구로서 간편형 5요인 성격척도의 유용성에 대해 논의하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the clustering and Big Five Personality domains in discriminating groups by level of school‐related adjustment, as experienced by Korea high school students. Data was collected by administering 4 questionnaires (the short version of BFI, Satisfaction with life, Career Decision‐Making Self‐Efficacy, Depression) to the participants who were 245 high school students in Seoul and Gyeong‐gi province. For the purposes of the data analysis, both Stepwise Discriminant analysis and Cluster analysis was employed. The results of the study are as follows. Firstly, the subjects were grouped into 3 clusters according to their level of school‐related adjustment. Secondly, Neuroticism, Openness, Conscientiousness within the Big Five Personality domains were seen to be significant variables when it came to discriminating the groups. These findings indicated that the short version of the BFI may be useful in screening for school maladjustment in adolescents.
