Abstract

This study aims to better reveal the psycho-social mechanisms inherent within the victimization experience of school violence, and to then develop effective prevention programs by examining the mediating effect of ego resilience in the context of mother attachment. The study subjects were divided into two groups according to their levels of high and low self-differentiation. Survey data was collected from 14 middle and high schools located in Seoul and Gyeonggi Do, And 835 participants were used. First, all three measured variables of the latent variables were found to be structured properly. Second, this analysis confirmed the homogeneity of the groups. Third, mother attachment had a significant effect on ego resilience in both groups. Fourth, the Z-values taken from the Sobel Test were found to be significant in both high and low levels of self-differentiation. This study explained the implications and limitations of the findings at the theoretical, practical and policy levels and finally made a number of suggestions for both practice and policy in social welfare.
