본 연구의 목적은 아동․청소년의 비행 유형에 따른 잠재프로파일을 분류하고, 개인, 가족, 학교특성 변수들의 영향력을 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 한국청소년정책연구원의 2011년 아동․청소년 정신건강 증진 지원방안 연구 자료를 사용하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 초등학생과 중학생 비행의 잠재프로파일은 모두 4개로 각각 분류되었으며, 그 형태는 상이한 것으로 나타났다. 초등학생의 경우, 음주․폭행․도박을 많이 하는 집단, 절도를 많이 하는 집단, 흡연․음주를 많이 하는 집단, 비행을 거의 하지 않는 집단으로 분류되었고, 중학생의 경우에는 모든 비행을 중간 수준으로 하는 집단, 대부분의 비행이 높은 수준이며 특히 무단결석을 많이 하는 집단, 음주․음란물 관련 비행을 많이 하는 집단, 비행을 거의 하지 않는 집단으로 분류되었다. 영향요인 검증 결과, 초등학생은 성별, 정서조절, 낙관주의, 학업유능감이, 중학생은 성별, 정서조절, 가족관계의 질, 부모정서지원, 학업유능감, 친구관계가 유의하게 나타났다. 본 연구는 전국 대규모 자료로 아동․청소년 집단이 어떤 유형의 비행 형태를 보이는지를 파악하고 비행 유형을 예측하는 데 필요한 영향요인들을 검증하였으므로, 비행 예방과 적절한 개입에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to classify latent profiles based on delinquency patterns of children, and to test the effects of individual, family, and school related variables on determining the latent profiles. We used the survey of children and adolescents' mental health, collected in 2011, from the National Youth Policy Institute. The results indicated that there were four different latent profiles for elementary school students (i.e., drinking/violence/gambling group, theft group, smoking/drinking group, and low-level delinquency group) and for middle school students (i.e., middle-level delinquency group, high delinquency and absence group, drinking/pornography group, and low-level delinquency group). For elementary school students, gender, emotional regulation, optimism, and academic competence were significant determinants of the latent profiles. On the other hand, for middle school students, gender, emotional regulation, quality of family relationship, parental emotional support, academic competence, and friend relationship were significant determinants of the latent profiles. The results of the current study can be helpful in developing appropriate prevention and intervention programs for reducing the future delinquency of adolescents.
