본 연구의 목적은 청소년들의 우울수준의 변화 경향을 추정하고, 변화에 있어서 개인차에 대한 부모․또래․교사 영향을 검증하는 것이다. 검증을 위해서 한국청소년패널자료의 중3,고1, 고2, 고3의 총 4년간의 종단자료를 사용하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 청소년의 우울 수준은 중3시기부터 고3시기까지 통계적으로 유의한 수준에서 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 중3시기의 우울 초기치에는 성별, 부모애착, 부모의 학대가 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 남자청소년에 비해 여자청소년의 중3시기(초기치) 우울 수준이 더 높고, 부모애착 수준이 높을수록 우울 수준은 낮고, 부모로부터 학대받은 경험이 많을수록 우울 수준이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 초기치를 통제한 상태에서 우울수준의 변화에 미치는 부모·또래·교사 효과를 검증해본 결과 성별, 부모의 학대가 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 청소년 의 우울 수준을 낮출 있는 개입 방안과 연구의 한계점 및 후속연구에의 함의를 제시하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to estimate the changes in the patterns in adolescent depression, and to test the effects of parents,peer, and school teachers on individual differences in these changes. For the current study, the longitudinal data taken from the Korea Youth Panel were analyzed using multi-level modeling. The first result of the analysis revealed that adolescent depression decreased significantly. The depression level of female adolescents is higher than that of males on the initial status (middle school 3th grade). The second result of the analysis is that gender and degrees of parental abuse showed significantly positive effects on the initial status. However parent attachment showed significantly negative effects on the initial status. The third result of the analysis is that controlling for the initial status according to gender and parental abuse had significantly positive effects on the change rate. These results, have implications for intervention and prevention strategies which can decrease the levels of adolescent depression.
