이 연구는 청소년들의 휴대전화를 이용한 성비행의 원인을 탐색해 본다. 이를 위해 성비행에 관한 이론적 논의로 가부장가설, 폭력학습가설, 성비행학습가설, 놀이가설, 개인성향가설, 그리고 매체기회가설을 통해 여러 주요 설명요인들을 제시하고, 서울시 남자 중학생 314명을 대상으로 하는 경험연구를 통해 주 원인들을 알아본다. 조사결과에서는 휴대전화 성비행에 호의적인 태도가 가장 중요한 원인임을 제시했다. 아울러 휴대전화 성비행 친구가 있는 청소년, 가부장 가정의 청소년, 휴대전화를 이용한 성비행이 재미있다고 생각하는, 그리고 낮은 자기통제력의 청소년이 휴대전화를 이용한 성비행을 더 저지른다는 결과를 제시했다. 하지만 폭력가정과 매체기회 변인의 영향력은 낮았다. 이러한 결과는 기존의 인터넷매체의 성비행의 원인에 관한 연구결과와는 다른 것으로, 휴대전화를 이용한 성비행은 현실과 인터넷매체의 중간적 성격을 갖는다는 것을 제시한다.
Abstract
This study seeks to investigate the causes of mobile sex delinquency. Using data from 314 male middle school students, this study tests six hypotheses such as patriarchy, learnt violence, learnt sex delinquency, play, individual disposition, and media opportunity hypotheses. Our results indicate that attitudes favorable to sexual delinquency are the most important explanatory factors, which supports the learnt sexual delinquency hypothesis. In addition, the number of sexually delinquent peers, patriarchy family, fun, and low self‐control have significant effects on mobile sexual delinquency. However, the effects of violent family environments and the media opportunity factor are low. These results imply that mobile delinquency is different from internet delinquency and has an intermediate property between offline reality and internet media.
