위기 상황과 현재 상황에서 중학생의 희망 재충전 및 증진 전략 탐색: 개념도(concept map)를 중심으로

이 연구의 목적은 청소년 희망에 대한 연구를 통해 한국 청소년의 희망 증진 전략을 탐색하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 개념도 연구법을 사용하였으며, 20명의 중학교 3학년 연구 참여자가 참여하였다. 연구 참여자에게 ‘위기 상황에서의 희망 재충전 전략’과 ‘현재의 희망 증진 전략’에 대한 응답 자료를 수집하였다. 이 수집된 자료를 다시 연구 참여자가 분류 및 평정하게 하였다. 희망 재충전 전략에 대한 개념도는 2차원 4분면 상에서 6개의 범주가 원형 분포를 이루었다. 전략에 대한 연구 참여자들의 내적 분류 기준은 크게 ‘전략의 방향성’으로서 내부 지향성 대 외부 지향성 차원과 ‘부적 상태를 다루는 방식’으로서 긍정적 고취 대 부정적 상태의 해소 차원으로 나누어진다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 희망 증진 전략에 대한 개념도는 2차원 4분면 상에서 4개의 범주가 원형 분포를 이루었다. 전략에 대한 연구 참여자들의 내적 분류 기준은 크게 ‘심리적 영역’으로서 인지적 전략 대 정서적 전략 차원과 ‘부적 상태를 다루는 방식’으로서 긍정적 고취 대 부정적 상태의 해소 차원으로 나누어진다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 마지막으로 연구의 한계점 및 함의점을 논의하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to explore strategies which can be used to promote the hopes of Korean middle school students. In this study, the concept map method was used and 20 ninth grade students participated in the study. The participants were interviewed about the strategies used to recharge hope in a crisis situation and to increase their current hope levels. The key sentences that were obtained from the interview data were classified and rated by the interviewees themselves. The concept map for the strategy which could be used to recharge hope were composed of six groups and each group formed a circular distribution in a 2-dimensional quadrant. The implicit criteria for the classification was divided into the internal-oriented and the external-oriented strategic directions. The criteria was also separated into the inspiration of a positive attitude and the elimination of negative emotions as the methods to deal with a current negative status. The concept map for the strategy to increase the current hope levels was composed of four groups. These groups also formed a circular distribution in the 2-dimensional quadrant. In this study, we found that the strategies could be divided, in psychological terms, into cognitive strategies and emotional strategies. In terms of dealing with a negative status, it could be also divided into the inspiration of a positive attitude and the elimination of negative emotions. Lastly, the implications and limitations of this study were also discussed.
