With the spread of tourism, the step by step unfolding of applying for World Heritages and the promotion of a self-awareness of Chinese national culture, primal ecology, as an etic perspective, is a way to express the globalized and modernized urban citizen's imagination about the remote rural culture. In the context of seeking ¡°development¡±, longing for a ¡°good life,¡± and one-sided cultural self-awareness, the folk art, as aboriginality or primal ecology, is often transformed into merchandise that only brings financial interest which is only of material value by outsiders and inheritors. Simultaneously, development is coming to an end.
