Abstract

Folk culture, as an important tourism resource, can effectively promote local economic development, protect and promote folk culture, and enhance local tourism competitiveness. However, in reality, the development of folk tourism can also have a certain negative impact on folk culture, such as the impact of foreign culture on the culture of tourist destinations, excessive development causing serious damage to folk heritage, assimilation of folk customs, and vulgarization of folk culture. This article proposes four needs for the development of Chinese folk tourism and the protection of folk culture, namely the need to correctly handle the relationship between development and protection, inheritance and development; Need to develop local tourism resources according to local conditions; We need to strengthen policy guidance and enhance the awareness of protecting social folk culture; We need to cultivate professional talents and increase research and inheritance of folk culture.
