Effect of IOAandMedia on Production of Somatic Hybrid by the Asymmetric Protoplast Fusion Between Three Solanum Species

Abstract
wesurveyedtheinfluenceofIOA(iodoacetamide)andmediauponprotoplastfusionfortheficientpro-ductionofthesomatichybridamongS.sisymbriifoliumandotherSolanumspecies(S.intergrifoliumandS. ). Regardlessof a breed, as the IOAconcentration increases, the cell division tends to decrease. As the influence of the media on the colony for-mation, wecouldget 5coloniesfromthefusionofS.sisymbriifoliumandIOA-treatedS.integrifoliumprotoplast, but nonewasob-served in other fusions. As a result of analyzing their IDH isozyme, we found a somatic hybrid in 2 objects.Key words -Solanumspecies, IOAconcentration, Isozyme pattern
