임산부에서 발생한 쯔쯔가무시병을 Azithromycin으로 성공적으로 치료한 1예

초록

본 저자들은 고열, 전신 근육통, 피부 발진 및 서혜부 가피가 있어 쯔쯔가무시 병으로 진단된 임산부에서 azithromycin을 사용하여 환자의 임상증상이 호전되고 태아에게도 부작용 없이 성공적으로 치료하였기에 보고하는 바이다. 쯔쯔가무시병이 우리나라에서도 발병율이 높은 감염병이며, 임산부에서의 쯔쯔가무시 감염이 주는 산모 및 태아에 대한 위험성을 고려할 때 임산부 및 태아에게 안전하게 사용할 수 있는 항생제에 대한 연구는 더욱더 활발히 진행되어야 할 것으로 생각된다.

Abstract

Scrub typhus is a acute febrile illness by Orientia tsutsugamushi that is endemic in Asian-Pacific areas. But it is difficult to found this disease in pregnant woman. As yet, many clinicians have difficulty in making choice of appropriate and safe drugs to pregnant women with scrub typhus, because the drugs such as tetracycline (doxycycline) and chloramphenicol which have been used are proven harmful to fetus and neonates. We experienced a case of successfully treated scrub typhus with azithromycin in pregnant woman, and report it with references.(Korean J Med 68:708-711, 2005)
