신체장애인의 우울발달궤적 예측요인 : 한국복지패널을 이용하여

초록

본 연구의 목적은 성인 신체장애인의 우울발달궤적과 그 예측요인을 파악하는 것이다. 연구를 위해 한국복지패널(Korea Welfare Panel Study)에서 제공한 1차년도에서 4차년도 자료를 활용하였으며, 가구원이 만 19세에서 65세 미만에 해당되는 사람 중 신체장애인 총 610명을 대상으로 분석하였다. 잠재성장모형으로 분석한 결과 첫째, 신체장애인의 우울발달궤적은 선형모형으로 변화하였고, 매년 감소하는 추세로 나타났다. 둘째, 우울발달궤적의 예측요인을 분석한 결과, 우울의 초기값에는 성별, 연령, 근로유무, 빈곤, 장애수준, 문제음주, 자아존중감, 가족관계 만족도가 영향을 미쳤고, 변화율에는 문제음주, 자아존중감만이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과들을 바탕으로 신체장애인의 정신건강 향상을 위한 실천적, 정책적 함의에 대해 논의하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the predictors of depression trajectory among physical disabilities. This study examines the predictors of depression trajectory using latent growth curve modeling involving individuals aged between 19 years old and 64 years old who participated in the Korea Welfare Panel Study(N=610). The findings of the study were as follows:: First, the depression trajectory of physical disabilities was decreased depression symptoms each year as linear model. Second, the demographic variables and partial of psychosocial variables(ie. problem drinking, self-esteem, family relationship) were significantly associated with the levels of depressive symptoms at wave 1. And the variables on the rate of depressive symptoms change were problem drinking and self-esteem. Based upon these findings we suggest to develop an integrated psychosocial intervention for mental health promotion about physical disabilities. The implications and limitations of these findings were discussed, and directions for future studies were also proposed.
