장애인의 환경 척도 개발 - 지체 및 뇌병변 장애인을 중심으로

본 연구는 장애의 환경 요인을 실증적인 방법을 통해 구조화하여 향후 장애인관련 정책 및 서비스에서 활용 가능하도록 검증된 환경 척도를 개발하고자 하였다. 장애인 당사자들이 주관적으로 경험한 다양한 삶의 영역에서 장애의 환경 요인을 찾아내는데 ICF의분류체계를 기본틀로 활용하였다. 장애인 개인과 환경 간의 상호작용을 지금 여기의 실제적인 삶의 현장에서 도출해 내고자 38명의 장애인 당사자들을 심도 있게 집단인터뷰하였으며 이를 통해 37개의 예비문항을 얻을 수 있었다. 이들 문항의 타당성을 검증하기위하여 전국에 거쳐 641명의 장애인을 조사하였으며 결국 5개의 요인을 추출하여 장애의 환경 척도를 개발하였다. 척도는 사회적 태도, 가족의 태도, 이동과 편의시설, 지지적 관계, 서비스·시스템·정책 등 다섯 개 요인, 총 30개 문항으로 구성되었다. 본 연구를 통해 검증된 척도에서는ICF 환경 요인 5개 영역 중 4개 영역(제품과 기술, 지원과 관계, 태도, 서비스 시스템 및정책 등)을 포괄하고 있는데, 그중 태도 영역이 2개로 나뉘어 다시 5개의 영역으로 구성되었다. 이는 개별 장애인을 둘러싸고 있는 가까운 환경에서부터 비교적 간접적인 환경체계의 수준에 따라 지원과 관계, 태도 등의 내용이 재편되어 잠재 요인을 구성한 결과이다.
Abstract
This study aims to develope environmental scale of people with disabilities The environmental scale were developed using focus group interview with 38participants using the ICF as a contextual framework. Candidate 36 items were developed and put into a survey format. Finally, purposeful sample of 641 people with mobility limitations was conducted survey. As a result of survey,participation scale is composed of 30 items that are placed in 5 domains used in the environmental component of the ICF: family’ support and attitude, intimate relationship, social attitudes toward to people with disabilities, service,organization and policy, supporting technology and attitude. This scale is consistent with ICF but natural environment and human-made changes to environment in the ICF was not included.
