초록

Cerebrovascular disease (CVD) is a serious complication of acute leukemia, and the underlying conditions are different from the common risk factors for CVD. Hemorrhagic strokes are more common in CVD associated with acute promyelocytic leukemia but ischemic infarctions are relatively rare. We report a case of 49-year old man with acute promyelocytic leukemia with a cerebral infarction due to possible leukostasis at initial presentation. (Korean Journal of Stroke 2005;7(2): 240~243)
