이 논문은 민수기 6:1-21에 나타난 나실인 제도를 주해적으로 살피고, 구약과 신약의 나실인으로 언급될 사람들의 예들을 살펴 본 후 나실인 제도라는 구약적 제도가 십자가 사건 뒤에 있는 신약 백성들에게 어떤 의미를 지니는 지를 드러낸 논문이다. ‘구별하다’(separate), ‘헌신하여 거룩하게 하다’(dedicate, consecrate in religious and ceremonial sense)라는 뜻의 “나자르”(rz:n")))라는 동사의 수동태 분사형인 “나지르”(ryzI )에서 온 독특한 나실인 제도는 하나님께서 하나님 백성으로서의 이스라엘의 하나님 백성 됨을 위해 특별히 구별하여 세우신 제사장이나 레위 사람은 아니지만 자신들을 특별히 하나님께 드리는 일을 허용하셨고 이에 대한 규례를 마련해 주신 것이다. 그러나 십자가에서의 성취 후에는 특정한 사람들만이 구별된 것이 아니라 모든 그리스도인이 다 하나님께 특별히 드려진 자로서의 의미를 지닌다는 것을 드러내었다.
Abstract
In this essay I have closely examined the Nazirite law in Numbers 6:1-21 and tried to find the Nazirites in the Old Testament period and in the early New Testament period. The Nazirite vow which comes from rz:n")) which again comes from rz:n")) (meaning "separate" or "dedicate, consecrate in religious and ceremonial sense") is a special vow through which the ordinary men or women can commit themselves totally to the Lord. I draw out the point that in the New Testament period after the finishing work of Christ on the cross, it is not the case that few special people are the Nazirites as in the Old Testament period, but every Christian is a Nazirite to God because of the finished work of Christ, so he/she should dedicate himself/herself to the Lord.
