현대지식정보화 사회에서 다양한 정보통신기술의 발달은 우리의 삶을 나날이 윤택하게 하고 있다. 특히 최근 무선인터넷과 스마트 기술의 발달로 인하여 다양한 스마트기기가 보급되면서 우리 삶의 모든 부분에서 스마트기기의 활용이 증가하고 있다. 하지만 신체적 또는 정신적 지체로 인하여 장애인들은 이러한 최신 스마트 기술의 혜택을 받지 못하는 형편이며, 또한 장애인과 비장애인사이에는 정보격차가 존재한다. 장애인들의 정보격차를 줄이기 위해서는 무엇보다도 정보격차를 정확하게 분석할 수 있는 정보화 지수를 개발하는 것이다. 기존의 PC환경에서는 장애인들의 정보화 지수에 관한 연구가 진행되어 왔지만, 스마트환경에서의 정보화 지수 연구는 아직까지 초기단계이다. 본 논문의 목적은 스마트 환경에서 장애인의 정보화 지수를 개발하는 것이다. 본 연구에서 개발한 정보화 지수는 총 3가지의 영역으로 구분이 되어 포괄적이며, 스마트환경만을 고려하여 더 현실적인 정보화 지수이다.
Abstract
In the current knowledge and information society, various ICT technologies enables us to enjoy abundant life day by day. Recently, due to advances in wireless internet and smart technologies, applications of smart devices are increasing in every aspect of our life. However, the disabled with physical and mental disabilities can not enjoy benefits of advanced smart technologies, so that there exists digital divide between the disabled and the non-disabled. In order to reduce the digital divide, it is important to develop informatization index for the disabled. In the existing PC-based environments, research works on informatization index have been developed. However, in smart environments, research results are insignificant. The purpose of this paper is to develop informatization index for the disabled in smart environments. The proposed index is composed of 3 sub-indexes. Unlike the existing smart index, the proposed index is extensive and realistic for smart environments.
