본 연구는 고령 장애인의 디지털 정보역량의 영향요인을 장애 유형별로 알아보고자 하였다. 본 연구는 분석을 위해 한국정보화진흥원이 수행한 2020년 디지털 정보격차 실태조사 데이터를 사용하였고 고령 장애인 1634명을 대상으로 분석하였다. 고령 장애인의 디지털 정보역량에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 요인은 성별, 교육수준, 가구소득, 취업 여부, 거주지역과 같은 인구사회적 요인과 장애 기간, 장애 정도와 같은 장애 특성 요인, PC 보유, 스마트폰 보유와 같은 정보접근성 요인, 디지털 기기 이용 동기 및 신기술에 대한 태도와 같은 심리적 요인으로 설정하였다. 분석 결과 인구사회적 변수들의 영향력은 장애 유형별로 상이한 것으로 나타났다. 장애 기간의 영향력은 고령 지체장애인과 고령 뇌병변장애인에서만 확인되었다. PC나 모바일 기기와 같은 디지털 기기의 보유 여부는 모든 장애 유형에서 영향력이 있는 것으로 확인되었으나 그 영향의 정도와 양상은 장애 유형별로 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 신기술에 대한 태도는 모든 장애 유형에서 영향력이 있는 것으로 나타났으나 그 영향의 정도와 양상은 장애 유형별로 차이가 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 고령 장애인의 디지털 역량의 개선을 위해선 장애 유형별로 맞춤식 지원이 있어야 할 것이다.
Abstract
This study aimed to find out the factors influencing the digital information competency of the elderly disabilities by disabilities type. This study used data from the 2020 Digital Divide Survey Conducted by National Information Society Agency for analysis and analyzed 1634 elderly and disabled people. The factors that can affect the digital information competency of the elderly with disabilities are demographic and social factors such as gender, education level, household income, employment status, and residential area, disabilities characteristics factors such as disability period and degree of disability, information accessibility factors such as PC ownership, and smartphone ownership, psychological factors such as motives for using digital devices, and attitudes toward new technologies. As a result of the analysis, the influence of demographic variables was found to be different for each type of disability. The effect of disability period was confirmed only in the elderly with physical disabilities and the elderly with brain lesions. The possession of digital devices such as PCs and smartphone was found to have an impact in all types of disabilities, but the degree and aspect of the influence differed by type of disability. Attitudes toward new technologies was found to have an impact in all types of disabilities, but the degree and aspect of the influence were found to be differ by type of disability. In order to improve the digital information competency of the elderly with disabilities, there should be customized support for each type of disability.
