Abstract

In this paper, eroticism in the deconstruction poetry of 1980s was studied. In 1980s of Korea there appeared many deconstruction poets against the ruling power at the moment, whose poetry bloomed beautiful eroticism. For them eroticism meant an effective tool to show their creative imagination and their violent ambitions against the taboo of the times, trying overrule the world. Firstly, in the deconstruction poetry of Whang Ji-woo inhumane and daily routine eroticism arises. In the poem, The Broad-leaved Forest, political corruption of 1970s makes an individual life a snobbery who has gone to the university and army. Secondly, in Park Nam-chul's poetry appears eroticism suppressed by power. In the poem, Taming Villain Readers, he tries to overthrow the absurd reality in which the military culture of 1980s suppresses private daily routine. It shouts abuses to the readers who are already tamed by the military culture. Thirdly, in Jang Jeong-il's poetry eroticism appears as a political tool. In the poem, Her, unlike other deconstruction poetry, as the political and economic oppression has lost the way, the easy loving and parting arises front.
