예비유아교사의 영양교육활동을 통한 식습관과 신체적 건강에 관한 연구

본 연구는 예비유아교사가 영양교육활동을 통해 식습관과 신체적 건강에 변화가 있는지 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 4년제 K대학교 유아교육과에 재학중인 예비유아교사 3,4학년 총 44명을 대상으로 아동영양학 교과목을 통해 중간 및 기말고사를 제외한 13주 동안 영양교육활동을 실시하고 예비유아교사에게 식습관과 인바디 검사를 사전·사후 실시하였으며, 자료를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째 예비유아교사는 영양교육활동을 통해 식습관 전체뿐만 아니라 하위영역인 규칙적인 식생활, 균형잡힌 식생활, 식생활과 건강 영역에서 유의미하게 변화되었다. 둘째, 예비유아교사들은 영양교육활동을 통해 체지방량이 감소하고, 신체발달이 증가하여 실제 신체적 건강에서 유의미하게 변화되었다. 따라서 영양교육활동을 통해 예비유아교사는 성장하고 발달하는 한 개인으로서, 영유아의 의미있는 모델로서, 바람직한 식습관과 건강에 대한 긍정적 태도를 형성할 수 있도록 체계적인 교육적 시도가 필요함을 시사한다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the eating habits and physical health change through the nutrition education activities of preservice early childhood teachers. The subjects in this research were 44 juniors and seniors preservice early childhood teachers who were studying at the early childhood education departments of 4-year course university. The research data were collected using questionnaire about eating habits, In-Body test, and analyzed the data. The results were as follows: First, the preservice early childhood teachers underwent significant changes in eating habits when they learned about nutrition education. Second, the preservice early childhood teachers significant changes in health. The findings of the study suggest that systemized nutrition education should be provided for preservice early childhood teachers to have good eating habits and health toward nutrition education to serve as significant role models for infants and preschoolers.
