체험교육을 통한 유아 주도적 경제교육활동이 경제개념 인식과 주도성에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 체험교육을 통한 유아 주도적 경제교육활동이 경제개념 인식과 주도성에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 S시 A어린이집의 만 5세 유아 22명을 실험집단으로. 동일지역의 B어린이집 만 5세 유아 18명을 비교집단으로 연구 대상을 선정하였다. 연구기간은 총 7개월이었으며, 실험집단 유아들에게는 7가지 주제의 체험 중심 경제교육활동을 실시하였다. 연구 효과를 검증하기 위해 유아 경제 개념 인식 검사와 주도성 검사를 사전, 사후로 실시하고, 공변량 분석(ANCOVA)으로 통계처리 하였다. 연구 결과 체험교육을 통한 유아 주도적 경제교육활동은 유아의 경제 개념 인식 향상에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 체험교육을 통한 유아 주도적 경제교육활동은 유아의 주도성에도 긍정적 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구의 결과는 유아교육현장에서 경제개념에 관한 교수ㆍ학습의 효과를 거두기 위해서 체험교육을 통한 유아 주도적 경제교육이 의미 있는 대안이 될 수 있음을 시사하고 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is 22 five-year-old children attending A daycare center in S city were selected for the experimental group and 18 children of same age attending B daycare center in the same area were selected for the comparative group. The present study was carried out over a Seven-month period, during which time experience-oriented economics educational activities in 7 varieties of theme were implemented with the young children in the experimental group. In order to verify the effects of the experiment, economic concept recognition assessment and initiative test for young children were conducted before and after the experiment. Raw scores from the tests were statistically evaluated with ANCOVA. Results from the study indicated that experience-oriented economics educational activities have a positive effect on young children in terms of improving their Independence and recognition of economic concepts. Therefore, the results of this study may be useful in planning educational activities for economic concepts in young children in the field of early childhood education.
