본 연구는 고령자 단독세대의 일상적 스트레스가 우울에 미치는 영향을 검증하여, 자료 수집은 2018년 5월 1일부터 2018년 6월 28일까지 D시와 U시에 거주하고 있는 고령자 300명을 대상으로 수집된 자료를 SPSS 22.0 통계프로그램을 활용하였다. 성별과 연령, 교육수준, 종교, 질환 및 장애 유무, 소득에 따른 일상적 스트레스의 차이는 모두 유의미하였다. 하지만 연령과 교육수준, 종교, 질환 및장애 유무, 소득에 따른 우울의 차이는 유의미하였으나, 성별에 따른 차이는 유의수준 5%에서 유의미 하지 않았다. 고령자 단독세대의 일상적 스트레스가 우울에 미치는 영향을 다중회귀분석 실시한 결과, 고령자 단독세대의 경제적 문제와 신체적 증상, 인간관계에 대한 일상적 스트레스가 높을수록 우울이 높은 것을 알 수 있다. 이는 일상적 스트레스가 우울을 동반한다는 것을 의미한다. 따라서 고령자 단독세대의 일상적 스트레스가 우울에 미치는 영향을 검증하고, 고령자 단독세대의 생활 행복감을 높여 사회복지실천에 기여할 수 있는 기초자료 제공 등 제도적 대안이 사료된다.
Abstract
This study verifies the effects of the daily stress of elderly one-person households on depression. Study subjects were 300 elderly people between May 1, 2018 and June 28, 2018 in the cities D and U, and the SPSS 22.0 statistics program was utilized for data analysis. Differences in daily stress according to gender and age, education level, religion, ailments and disabilities, and income were all significant. Although differences in daily stress according to age and education level, religion, ailments and disabilities, and income were significant, that according to gender was not significant with a significance level of 5%. Results of a multiple regression analysis on the effects of the daily stress of elderly one-person households on depression revealed that the higher the stress levels related to their financial problems, physical symptoms, and relationships, the higher the depression. This shows that stress is accompanied by depression. Therefore, this research examined the effects of daily stress on the depression of the elderly one-person household, and is considered as basic data to contribute to social welfare practice by raising the living happiness of elderly one-person household.
