노인의 스트레스, 사회적 지지가 우울에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 서울시 강북구에 거주하시며 경로당을 다니시는 65세 이상 232명의 노인을 대상으로 스트레스, 사회적 지지, 우울 정도를 파악하기 위하여 2016년 8월 16일부터 9월 15일까지 설문 조사를 실시하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 스트레스의 정도는 4점 척도에서 건강 영역이 2.57점, 경제 영역이 2.07점, 심리사회 영역이 1.93점, 가족관계 영역이 1.92점, 주거환경 영역이 1.71점 순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 사회적 지지 정도는 5점 척도에서 정보적 지지가 2.70점, 정서적 지지 2.63점, 도구적 지지 2.55점, 사회 활동적 지지 2.22점의 순으로 나타났다. 셋째, 우울의 정도는 5점 척도에서 평균값이 2.76점으로 나타났다. 넷째, 스트레스와 사회적 지지가 우울에 미치는 영향을 검증하기 위하여 다 중회귀분석을 실시한 결과, 현재 건강상태가 나쁠수록 우울이 높은 것으로 나타났으며(β=-0.18, p<0.001), 스트레스가 클수록 우울 정도도 높은 것으로 나타났으나((β=0.57, p<0.001). 사회적 지지는 우울 정도에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
This research was conducted on elders aged 65 years old or older who commute to the senior center at Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, as a survey of 232 elders from August 16, 2016, to September 15, 2016. The results are as follows. First, the average of stress at a scale of 4 appeared to be highest on health stress 2.57, followed by economic stress 2.07, sociopsychological stress 1.93, family relationship stress 1.92, residential environmental stress 1.71. Second, the level of support at a scale of 5 was highest on information support 2.70, followed by emotional support 2.63, instrumental support 2.55, social activity support 2.22. Third, the level of depression was in average 2.76 out of 5. Fourth, multiple regression analysis in order to validate the effect of stress and social support on the level of depression depicts that the poor physical health contributes to higher level of depression (β=-0.18, p<0.001), higher level of stress contributes to higher level of depression (β=0.57, p<0.001), and social support level does not produce a statistically meaningful correlation on the level of depression.
