초록

Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) is a promising means to mitigate the traffic congestion. Recently, numerous research efforts have been made to develop Advanced Traveler Information System (ATIS) model using V2V communication with more affordable and available wireless communication. Therefore, this paper aims to develop a (basic) ATIS model using V2V communication under the ideal communication environment and enhance its performance with three complementary functions (advanced ATIS using V2V model) and create simulation test bed with off - the - shelf microscopic simulation under non - recurrent traffic state. Also, the acceptable parameter ranges of performance - enhanced functions have been studied through sensitivity analysis with Monte Carlo simulation method. The simulation outputs indicate that ATIS model using V2V communication saved travel time of drivers by guiding participating vehicles to less congested routes. Also, the significant variability of traffic state input data (i.e., link travel time) due to traffic signal results in the difficulty to implement the sample size function. In addition, the sensitivity analysis noticed that parameter values 2 or 3 and 20% or 30% for K and I factors, respectively, showed the best performance as function of the given network size and structure.
