예술체험을 통한 대학 인문교양교육 활성화 사례 연구

인문교양교육은 오늘날 지식의 파편화와 정보의 홍수 속에서 깊이 있는 자기이해와 성찰, 나아가 인간다운 삶의 가치, 태도, 메시지들을 찾아내어 인간답게 살 수 있도록 하는데 하나의 대안이 될 수 있다. 예술은 인간의 눈과 귀로 직접 체험하고 표현해내는 것으로, 우리 자신의 일상 경험을 예술적 승화로 이뤄내는 인간의 자기 형성과 세상에 대한 탐색을 가능하게 하는 인문교양교육의 가장 훌륭한 도구이다. 이 연구는 예술체험 대학교양교과목 개발운영 실천 사례를 통해 예술체험이 가진 인문교양교육 실천 성과와 개선점을 도출하여 진로 직업교육에 치우친 대학교육의 원래기능을 회복하도록 하는데 중요한 역할을 할 수 있음을 주장한다. 이 사례연구를 통해 예술체험의 역할이 앎의 매개로서 인간이 가진 근원적 문제해결을 위한 융복합적 소양 및 유연한 사고 함양을 위한 인문교양교육 활성화의 방법적 대안임을 시사한다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to approach to liberal arts education with artistic experiences and activities at university. This paper proposes the humanistic approaches to higher education that artistic experiences and activities can be an alternative method for promoting liberal education programmes, providing a case study on the liberal arts education. Artistic experiences and activities can be used for university students to guide the way to understand the world around their life, and insights to what happens around the world. The case study shows an example of the methodological interdisciplinary approaches demonstrated through artistic activities, which can be developed as an module or curriculum in the needs of the change of higher education.
