감각조절장애가 있는 아동들은 일상생활에서 주의력 부족, 자신감 저하, 불안, 과잉행동 등의 문제양상을 보이고, 특히, 부모님들이 중요하게 생각하는 학습에도 영향을 준다. 학습은 자세 조절 능력을 바탕으로 이루어지는 종합적인 능력이다. 본 연구는 감각조절장애가 있는 아동을 대상으로 감각통합치료가 자세 조절 능력에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 수행되었다. 연구 대상 아동은 일반초등학교 1학년에 재학 중인 남아로 감각조절장애가 있었다. 연구 설계는 개별실험연구 방법 중 AB 설계를 사용하였고, 자세 조절 능력을 알아보기 위해 복와위 신전 자세와 손-코 운동을 사용하여 평가하였다. 기초선은 3회기로 구성하였고, 감각통합치료와 관련된 활동은 하지 않았다. 치료는 8회기로 구성하였고, 고유수용성 감각을 중심으로 한 감각통합치료를 적용하였다. 치료결과, 자세 조절 능력을 알아 보기위해 평가한 복와위 신전 자세와 손-코 운동의 총 평균이 향상되어 감각통합치료가 자세 조절 능력에 도움을 주는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
Children with sensory processing disorder have some problems which include attention deficits, poor self-esteem, anxiety, and hyperactivity performance. The Sensory processing ability affect learning and learning is a complex ability based on the postural control. This is a study to testify to the effect the postural control by sensory intervention in children with sensory processing disability using single-subject research. The subject of study is a boy who is in first grade with sensory processing disorder. We evaluated the postural control using the prone extension posture and the touching nose with index finger-eyes closed. The baseline phase consists of 3 sessions. The treatment phase consists of 8 sessions and applied activities focus on the proprioceptive sensory. The results showed the treatment can be useful in postural control with prone extension posture and touching nose with index finger-eyes closed.
