ADHD 아동의 운동협응성이정신건강에 미치는 영향

Effect of ADHD children’s motor coordination on mental health

초록

본 연구는 과잉행동으로 병원, 클리닉 및 복지관에 의뢰되어 과잉행동의 중재를 받고 있는 102명의 아동을 대상으로 ADHD 평가척도(K-ARS), 아동운동성평가(MABC-2체크리스트), 정신건강평가(강점ㆍ난점 체크리스트)를 활용하여 연령에 따른 운동협응성과 정신건강의 상관 및 각 영역들간의 상관을 알아보고 ADHD 아동의 운동협응성이 정신건강에 미치는 요인이 무엇인지를 살펴보았다. 연구결과 ADHD 연령증가에 따라 운동협응성의 향상은 보이지 않았고, 정신건강과도 상관을 보이지 않았다. 또한 아동의 운동협응성 및 정신건강의 하위 영역은 대체로 높은 상관을 보였지만, 친사회성과 과잉행동 및 부주의, 자조기술과 부주의는 상관을 보이지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 운동협응성의 하위 영역 중 공기술과 교실 내 자조기술이 정신건강에 영향을 주는 변인으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 ADHD아동의 운동협응성은 정신건강과 상관을 갖고, 정신건강에 영향을 주는 것으로 요약된다. 본 연구를 통해 학령기 및 아동 전기의 교실 내 자조기술 평가가 필요하고, 운동협응성의 영역 중 공기술이 정서에 많은영향을 주는 바, 운동특성에 따른 치료적 요인에 대한 구체적 연구가 필요하다고 제언할 수 있다.

Abstract

This research was studied on 102 children who were requested to hospitals, clinics and community in relief centers for intervention on ADHD. Relations between motor coordination by age, mental health and each domain were examined using the Korean ADHD rating scales (K-ARS), the children movement assessment (MABC-2 checklist), and the Korean version of the strengths and difficulties questionnaire(SDQ-Kr). Also, factors that motor coordination affects ADHD children’s mental health were examined. From the research, improvement of motor coordination by growth was not found nor relation with mental health. Children’s motor coordination and low domain of mental health are highly related, but relation between prosocial behavior and hyperactivity, and inattention was not found nor relation between self-skill and inattention. Especially, ball skill of motor coordination’s low domain and self-skill in classroom are the variables that effect on mental health. To conclude, this study can be summed up that motor coordination of ADHD children is related to mental health, and it affects mental health. This study propose that evaluation on self-skill of school age childhood and pre-childhood in classroom is needed as well as more detailed study on Therapeutic factor on Motor Characteristics since ball skill of motor ability influences emotions a lot.
