자아성장 집단미술치료가 발달장애아 어머니의 양육스트레스 및 모-자 상호작용에 미치는 영향

초록

본 연구에서는 자아성장 집단미술치료 프로그램이 발달장애아 어머니의 양육스트레스와 모-자 상호작용에 어떠한 영향을 주는지를 살펴보았다. 연구를 위하여 발달장애아 어머니 6명을 중재집단으로 선정하여 주 2회 90분씩 20회기에 걸쳐 미술치료 프로그램을 실시하고, 프로그램을 실시하지 않은 어머니 6명을 비교집단으로 선정, 사전ㆍ사후 변화의 차이를 비교 고찰하였다. 본연구의 결과는 다음 몇 가지로 요약 될 수 있다.첫째, 발달장애아 어머니를 대상으로 한 자아성장 집단미술치료 프로그램이 발달장애아 어머니의 양육스트레스를 전반적으로 감소시킴을 보여주었다. 더불어 아동특성으로 인한 양육 스트레스 변화의 차이는 통계적으로 유의미한 수준에 근접하는 감소 경향성을 보였다.둘째, 자아성장 집단미술치료 프로그램이 발달장애아 어머니의 모-자 상호작용을 전반적으로 향상시켰음을 보여주었다.이상의 결과에 따르면 자아성장 집단 미술치료 프로그램에 참가한 중재집단은 비교집단에 비해 양육스트레스가 더 많이 감소되었고 모-자 상호작용은 더 많이 향상되었음으로 본 연구의결과인 자아성장 집단미술치료 프로그램은 발달장애아 어머니의 양육스트레스 감소와 모-자 상호작용의 효과를 높이는데 긍정적인 영향을 주는 유용한 도구로 사용 될 수 있다는 결론에 이른다.

Abstract

This study observed what influence the self-growth group art therapy gave on the parenting stress and mother-child interaction in mothers of the children with developmental disabilities. For this, an art therapy intervention program involved as many as 6 mothers of the children with developmental disabilities was conducted, with the controlled group of other six mothers, who took no program. This result significantly means that self-growth group art therapy decreases the level of parenting stress and increases the mother-child interactions in mothers of the children with developmental disabilities. In addition to that, the stress from child's traits reported a strong tendency to decrease nearly at .10 level, though it was a statistically non-significant result. Notably, this implied that any short-term parenting education did not make a significant difference in child's traits in the parenting stress. The difference, however, observed at approaching level, deserves to be mentioned. And the mother-child interaction reported to be improved in parenting behavior, influence and affectionate gestures. Although this result was confined to parents and significant difference was not observed in children's cognition level and performance, it was worth being studied because there was difference at least to be noticed and there was increased influence. To sum up, the study found out that the self-growth group art therapy could decrease the parenting stress level of the mothers of the children with developmental disabilities and could significantly influence on the improvement of mother-child interaction. On the platform of this result, the study suggests the enriched support in educational programs for improving the parenting stress and mother-child interaction in mothers of the children with developmental disabilities would lead to expectations for right parenting effect on the children with developmental disabilities.
