경도인지장애 성인 대상의 다분야 중재 및 언어기능 개선에 대한 국내 문헌 연구

Literature Review on Multidisciplinary Intervention and Improvement of Language unction in Adults with Mild Cognitive Impairment in Korea

초록

본 연구는 국내의 경도인지장애 환자를 대상으로 진행된 다양한 중재과제와 활동을 살펴보고, 중재의 직간접적 결과로서 언어 기능의 향상을 보고한 연구 결과를 확인하는데 목적이 있다. 국내 논문 검색 데이터베이스를 통해 검색된 논문을 선정 기준에 따라 분류하여최종적으로 25편의 논문을 선정하였다. 선정된 논문을 대상으로 연구 현황, 중재 방법, 결과측정에 대한 분석을 실시하였다. 연구 현황에 대한 분석 결과, 경도인지장애를 대상으로 언어기능의 효과를 직간접적으로 살펴본 중재 연구는 2013년부터 시작되어 현재까지 연구가지속적으로 증가하고 있으며, 병원 환경에서 가장 많은 연구가 실시된 것으로 나타났다. 중재 방법에 대한 분석 결과, 중재 영역별 논문 수는 인지, 언어, 신체, 예술, 정서 영역 순으로 나타나 인지 영역 중재가 가장 빈번하게 이루어지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 중재회기 수는 10~19회기, 주당 진행 횟수는 주 2회, 회기당 소요시간은 60분 중재가 가장 많이이루어지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 중재 효과 및 결과 측정 항목에 대한 분석 결과, 언어 외에 다른 중재 영역 프로그램을 통해 간접적으로 언어기능의 변화를 살펴본 연구가 다수를차지하였고, 언어 영역뿐만 아니라 다른 영역의 중재를 시도한 연구 중 과반수 이상의 연구에서 언어기능의 향상을 보고하였다. 언어기능에 대한 효과 측정을 위해서는 언어 표현을살펴보는 측정 도구가 가장 많았다. 본 연구에서는 국내 경도인지장애 대상자에게 시도된다양한 중재 프로그램이나 활동과 더불어 결과 측정의 항목이나 도구를 소개하였다. 경도인지장애의 의사소통 능력은 일상의 기능적 활동에서 삶의 질을 좌우하는 주요 변인이 될 수있으므로 추후 언어병리 분야에서도 경도인지장애의 언어기능의 개선을 면밀히 측정하고 이를 기반으로 더욱 효과적인 언어 중재 프로그램의 개발이 적극적으로 이루어지기를 기대한다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to review the tasks and activities of diverse intervention studies that were conducted regarding Korean mild cognitive impairment(MCI) and analyze the findings of the studies that reported improvement of language function as a direct or indirect result of intervention. The study searched through the Korean paper search databases that were classified according to the exclusion criteria. A total of 25 studies were selected. An analysis of the research status, intervention method, and result measurement were all conducted for the selected studies. As a result, intervention studies that examined direct or indirect effects of language funtions in MCI began in 2013 and have continued to increase further until now; furthermore, most studies were conducted in the hospital settings. As a result of the intervention method analysis, cognitive intervention was conducted most frequently followed by language, physical, art, and emotion areas. In addition, a total of 10~19 sessions, twice a week, 60 minutes were mostly conducted. As a result of the intervention effects and outcome measurement analysis, most studies examined the indirect effects of language functions; furthermore, over 50% of papers reported an improvement in language function in the language area as well as in the other intervention area. The measurements of language expression were used in most studies. This study introduced diverse intervention programs or activities attempted in Korean MCI as well as items or measurements for measuring results. The communication ability of MCI can be a major variable that determines quality of life in daily functional activities. Therefore, it is expected that the language function of MCI will be closely measured in the field of speech language pathology. Based on this, more effective language intervention programs for MCI will be actively developed.
