초록

본 연구의 목적은 감각식이 가정 프로그램이 ASD 아동의 감각추구 행동과 작업수행에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 한다. 자폐스펙트럼장애로 진단받은 만 5세 여아를 대상으로 2024년 5월 7일부터 6월 3일까지 총 4주간 감각통합 치료를 병행하며 감각식이 가정 프로그램을 실시하고 평가하였다. 실험설계는 개별실험연구(single subject design) 중 “ABA” 설계를 사용하고, “A”는 기초선 기간으로 감각통합치료를 주 3회를 받으며 기초선 측정을 위해 자유시간 10분 동안의 모습을 비디오로 5회기 측정하였고, “B”는 중재 기간으로 2주 동안 감각통합치료 주 3회와 감각식이 가정 프로그램을 병행하였으며, 아동의 변화를 평가하기 위해 비디오 측정 5회기를 실시하였다. “A’”는 유지 기간(Follow–up)으로 기초선과 동일하게 자유시간 10분 동안의 모습을 비디오로 3회기 측정하였다. 연구 기간 동안 아동의 작업수행 변화를 측정하기 위해 목표성취척도(Goal Attainment Scale: GAS)를 사용하였으며 결과는 다음과 같았다. 첫째, 아동은 중재 전·후 감각추구 행동의 전반적인 감소를 보였으며, 작업수행 영역의 목표 활동 측정 시 목표 달성 척도가 증가한 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 둘째, 유지기 초반에는 감각추구 행동의 감소가 유지가 되었으나 후반으로 갈수록 감각추구 행동이 다시 증가하는 것을 확인 할 수 있었다. 이를 통해서 감각식이 가정 프로그램은 자폐스펙트럼장애 아동의 감각 조절과 작업수행의 향상에 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to explore the impact of sensory diet home programs on the sensory seeking behavior and occupation performance of children with autism spectrum disorder. A sensory diet home program was implemented and evaluated for a five year old girl diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, along with sensory integration therapy for a total of four weeks spanning from May 7 to jun 3, 2024. The experimental design used the ABA’ design among the single subject designs, and baseline A received sensory integration therapy three times a week; furthermore, five sessions of video recording were conducted for baseline measurements. Next, B underwent sensory integration therapy three times a week and a sensory diet home program for two weeks during the intervention period, as well as five sessions of video measurement were conducted to evaluate the child's changes. Finally, A’ is the follow-up period, which was measured using video for three sessions during 10 minutes of free time the same as the baseline. The Goal Attainment Scale (GAS) was used to measure changes in children's task performance during the experiment period, and the results were as follows. First, the child showed an overall decrease in sensation-seeking behavior before and after the intervention; furthermore, an increase in the goal achievement scale was confirmed when measuring goal activity in the task performance area. Second, although the decrease in sensation-seeking behavior was maintained at the beginning of the maintenance period, it was confirmed that sensation-seeking behavior increased again towards the end. Through this, it was found that the sensory diet home program had a positive effect on improving sensory modulation and occupation performance in children with autism spectrum disorder.
